Kayyonni (Eclipta Alba) is an important Ayurvadic herb of India which grows up to 50cm of height. It belongs to the Asteraceae plant family. The small white flowers of Kayyonni included in the Ten Sacred Flowers list (Dasapushpam). The kayyonni leaf extract is a best tonic for liver and hair. This herb is the main ingredient in the traditional coconut hair oil of Kerala. Eclipta Alba grows in moist places as a weed in tropical areas around the world.
